EMBRACE THE SPIRIT OF EVANSTON

While you’re in town, take a pit stop at the Roundhouse & Railyards for a fast-tracked trip to the past. This restored historic building put Evanston, Wyoming, on the map back in 1871 as a permanent stop along the Union Pacific line. The last remaining roundhouse on this particular line, train lovers and history buffs alike won’t want to leave the station!

Our other museums offer awe-inspiring architecture and countless artifacts for you and your crew to explore. Tune in to the stories of Chinese immigrants who played a vital role in Evanston’s history at the Chinese Joss House Museum. Then head over to the Uinta County Museum to view pioneer relics and other historical artifacts from our area's past.

VENTURE INTO WILD WYOMING

Watch the wildlife roam at Bear River State Park, where over 300 acres of natural landscape and open-air await. Home to small herds of bison and elk, be sure to bring a pair of binoculars for the best view of these beautiful beasts!

Not an animal person? Not a problem; there are so many ways to enjoy this state park. Dust off those hiking boots and take a hike along one of the park’s multiple trails or elevate the adventure and tackle the trails with a mountain bike. Don’t forget to pack a lunch and take a break in one of the park’s convenient picnic areas. Then sit back, stretch your legs, and watch the warm Wyoming light melt into a sunset behind rocky, rolling hills.
